Judy, Roger, John, Andrea...the clearing...A walnut tree has been discovered...there is much rejoicing.
John explains something puportedly interesting...Chris listens, but for the most part he's ignored...later John wanders off and we have to go find him.

What a nice day for a hike. I must have split before the earthy poison puff balls were discovered. My vote is that they are poison to us humans but a source of yummy nutrients for forest plants. Maybe I should test this and fry up a few; I would prefer some butter-battered Morels. When is their season- Springtime?
